The Shift Leader plays a pivotal role in driving production excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the team to achieve operational targets and key performance indicators.
2. Ensure stringent quality standards are maintained, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Housekeeping Practices.
3. Monitor and control production costs while promoting efficiency.
4. Enforce and uphold safe working practices for team members, contractors, and visitors.
5. Guarantee all team members receive comprehensive training, operate safely, effectively, and with a focus on quality.
6. Promote robust working relationships and maintain effective communication across all levels.
7. Oversee the maintenance of work areas and equipment for optimal performance.
8. Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, product quality, and system/process efficiencies.
9. Collaborate with Quality Assurance, logistics, technical, and maintenance teams to achieve operational excellence.
10. Manage internal controls as assigned by the Internal Controller.
11. Work with HR on employee performance, development, and relations, including updating relevant HR systems.
12. Act as a deputy for the Production Manager in their absence, supporting broader production operations.
13. Contribute to the department's performance goals in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation, and Environment.
14. Ensure the correct use, maintenance, and development of all production systems.
Requirements:
15. Minimum 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role within the food manufacturing industry.
16. A third-level qualification in a relevant field is preferred.
17. Experience with SAP, MES, or SCADA systems is highly advantageous.
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
