# Solution ArchitectSolution ArchitectSalary€NegotiableLocationDublin, IrelandContractPermanentIndustryTechnology---ContactDylan ****** ArchitectLocation: DublinWork Model: Hybrid (2-3 days on site per week)Sector: Regulated financial services (insurance experience advantageous)This role is responsible for ensuring solution architectures are secure by design, resilient, compliant with DORA, and aligned with the organisation's target enterprise and application architecture.Key Responsibilities* Create solution designs for secure, scalable, and reliable architectures, and present these to the organisation's Design Authority.
* Translate end-to-end business and technical requirements into enterprise system designs and change requirements, aligned with security standards, regulatory obligations, and industry best practices.
* Work hands-on in a highly collaborative manner with cross-functional delivery teams, ensuring projects align with the target enterprise and integration architecture.
* Define application architectures and design patterns that support enterprise standards, reusability, scalability, and maintainability.
* Actively support the development and enhancement of IT strategy, including defining future-state technology architecture and operating models.
* Facilitate evaluation and selection of software and hardware product standards and services, including standard and bespoke configurations.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive these initiatives through to delivery.
* Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams, ensuring improvement initiatives are documented and actioned.Education & Certifications* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
* Relevant architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF, IASA Core Certification, or equivalent).
* Relevant technical certifications (e.g. Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure).
Experience & Skills* Proven experience working in IT, including experience in a Solution Architect or similar architecture-focused role.
* Strong hands-on experience designing solutions in on-premise environments, with integration to SaaS platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365.* Experience with multiple integration patterns, including API-based and event-driven integration.
* Strong background in architecture governance, architectural patterns, IT standards, and IT controls (including IT risk management).
* Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 preferred.
* Experience using architecture modelling tools and standards such as ArchiMate.
* Proven ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, internal and external.
* Experience within the insurance sector or another regulated industry is advantageous.
