Key Responsibilities:
* Complete physical engineering designs, plans, specifications, calculations, exhibits, and reports with guidance.
* Design of substations in accordance with current standards (Eirgrid, ESB, NG, IEC, IEEE).
* Perform technical calculations and collaborate with civil and structural teams.
* Adhere to policies and procedures in drawing preparation.
* Manage project stages within time constraints, providing guidance on schedules and resources.
Requirements:
* Degree and/or master's in electrical engineering, power engineering, or an equivalent field.
* Chartered (CEng) or working towards Chartership with a relevant institution.
* Significant knowledge of OSW technology and projects, with a grounding in power systems engineering.
* Experience coordinating across project disciplines, external subcontractors, and remote offices, ensuring risks are mitigated and regulations met.
* Relevant experience in OSW, typically at Site Engineer or Engineering Supervisor level.
* Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and power system interactions with OSW installations and the Irish grid.
* Ability to understand OSW scheme design, project lifecycle, and practical considerations.
* Strong communication skills, capable of technical report writing and client interactions.
