About the role:
We currently have a number of vacancies for a full-time positions for Healthcare Assistants in County Louth Area.
Care of Residents:
Carry out all instructions relating to the direct care of residents, as directed by the line manager.
Support the promotion of equality for all residents.
Always contribute to the protection and safety of residents.
Assist in the ongoing support of residents and others significant to them enabling residents to maintain their
interests, identity and well-being and maintaining contact with those who are significant to them.
Hygiene:
Bath, shower, shave, dress, and undress residents.
Assist in the toileting of residents including the giving, removing and emptying of urinals and commodes.
Supervise residents on commodes, in toilets and bathrooms and assist patients with their hygiene needs.
Nutrition:
Obtain, transmit and store information relating to the delivery of the nutritional service within the facility.
Give help and support to residents during their mealtimes.
Mobilisation:
Enable residents to maintain their mobility in the immediate environment.
Lift and position residents when necessary.
Ensure residents are comfortable in beds or on chairs.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum Experience Required (Years): 1 Year of Healthcare assistant experience.
Minimum Qualification: QQI Level 5 (including Leaving Certificate).
