Head of Property & Motor Damage Claims
As the Head of Property & Motor Damage Claims, you will lead multiple operational teams and play a central role in shaping and executing our claims strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief Claims Officer, you will combine strategic oversight, operational excellence, and people‑focused leadership to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers and our business.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Lead high‑performing Property & Motor Damage Claims teams, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide coaching and development to team leaders to drive capability growth and performance excellence.
Oversee delivery of the Property & Motor Damage Claims Strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Transforming the Future of Claims
Lead major multi‑year transformation programmes across telephony, IVR, workforce management, and knowledge systems.
Develop modern digital solutions and improve claims journeys to enhance customer experience.
Driving Performance & Customer Excellence
Own operational performance, KPIs, customer satisfaction, quality assurance, and resource optimisation.
Evolve claims handling techniques and oversee indemnity and cost management using emerging insights.
Build the strategic customer proposition across digital, supply chain, and segment‑specific initiatives.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure a robust control environment aligned to regulatory, legislative, and internal policy requirements.
Operate as a “controlled function,” meeting Fitness & Probity and MCC requirements.
Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to influence decisions and deliver high‑impact outcomes.
Manage panel suppliers and represent Claims at key governance and performance forums.
Advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and a culture where people thrive.
Drive continuous improvement across people, processes, and technology to deliver exceptional service.
Requirements:
You are an experienced Claims or Operations leader who combines strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery. You bring:
5 – 8 + years’ experience in a senior claims, operations, or customer service leadership role.
Strong leadership capability, managing multiple teams in a fast‑moving environment.
Knowledge of contact centre technologies, customer journey optimisation, QA, complaints handling, and WFM.
Excellent communication, analytical skills, and stakeholder management.
CIP (minimum) or equivalent qualification, and compliance with MCC requirements.
