We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our team in Kildare.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
Represent the company's commercial interests during meetings and negotiations.
Support directors with contract administration and provide commercial advice as required.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial information and streamlined reporting.
Prepare and review monthly valuations, applications for payment, cost reconciliations, and certifications for contracts, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure accurate monitoring of project cash flow and provide timely updates to senior management.
Secure recovery of all entitlements under the contract through effective correspondence and negotiation.
In partnership with procurement, oversee the placement of supplier agreements and subcontracts in line with project timelines.
Supervise and mentor commercial staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Conduct detailed reviews of contract documentation, highlighting risks and obligations.
Lead the preparation and agreement of interim and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress, site measurements, and valuations to ensure accuracy in reporting.
Record and manage contractual delays or variations, preparing claims where necessary.
Review subcontractor performance and provide feedback to procurement and senior management.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, safeguarding confidential information and protecting the company's financial interests.
About You
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., RICS, SCSI, CIOB).
Minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial management within the construction sector.
Strong background in public sector contracts.
Proven track record in contract administration, claims management, and cost control.
Excellent written, spoken, and negotiation skills in English.
Full clean Irish/EU driving licence.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and support commercial teams.
