Job Title: Fleet Management Specialist
Overview:
Fleet Technical Supervisors play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of a fleet. They are responsible for leading a technical team, managing contracts, conducting inspections, and providing technical insights to inform management decisions.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead a Technical Team: Guide and motivate a dedicated team to execute the Fleet Management business plan, ensuring team objectives align with overall organizational goals.
* Manage Contracts: Oversee multiple contracts for fleet maintenance, including tyre management, service, repair, and general upkeep, monitoring performance and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
* Conduct Inspections: Regularly inspect fleet vehicles to identify and report on mechanical defects, maintaining operational integrity.
* Provide Technical Insights: Generate comprehensive technical reports to inform management decisions, ensuring they have necessary data to make informed choices regarding fleet operations.
Requirements:
Candidates must hold a qualification at a minimum of level 7 or equivalent on the National Framework of Qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as Transport Operations and Technology, Transport Logistics, Transport Management, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent. Alternatively, senior trade certificate/National Craft certificate in a motor trade discipline is also acceptable. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate experience of at least 5 years in a fleet management operation or automotive industry management role, including leadership abilities and technical training and experience working with electric and hybrid vehicles.
