As
Assistant Technical Manager
, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining top-tier food safety and quality standards, supporting audits and compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the site. What You'll Be Doing
* Supporting the Technical Manager in maintaining the company's
Food Safety Management System
, including HACCP.
* Working cross-functionally to ensure
food safety, quality, and compliance
are achieved to the highest standard.
* Participating in
HACCP/TACCP teams
and assisting with internal, third-party, and customer audits (BRCGS experience highly valued).
* Leading investigations into
customer complaints
and implementing effective corrective actions.
* Carrying out
internal audits, risk assessments, and system reviews
to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
* Providing
technical guidance
and supporting site-wide improvement projects.
* Reporting on audit results and quality trends to drive performance and best practice.
What You'll Bring
* A
degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
.
* Proven experience in a
technical or food safety role
within food manufacturing.
* Strong understanding of
EU & UK food legislation
and compliance standards.
* Hands-on experience with
customer and third-party audits (BRCGS preferred)
.
* Confident communicator with excellent
attention to detail and organisational skills
.
* IT-proficient and comfortable working in a
fast-paced, team-oriented environment
.
