Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Environmental Services Our client is a innovative environmental solutions business seeking a COO to join their team and lead performance and drive continuous improvement, supporting the long-term growth of the organisation. The Role: The COO will lead the organisations operational strategy and day-to-day service delivery, ensuring operations are efficient, compliant, customer-focused and aligned with strategic and environmental objectives. Oversee large-scale operational functions, manage key stakeholder relationships and drive high performance across the organisation. This role requires a strategic and commercially minded leader with strong operational expertise, experience in complex service environments and a passion for sustainability and environmental impact. Key Responsibilities: To deliver organisational strategy, operational priorities and business objectives. Lead and manage operational functions including service delivery, logistics, contracts, stakeholder engagement and compliance. Ensure operational performance meets agreed KPIs, regulatory standards and customer expectations. Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency and innovation across the organisation. Oversee budgets, contracts, resource planning and operational risk management. Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, suppliers, agencies and other stakeholders (including internal). Lead, develop and support high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative and accountable culture. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, environmental and governance requirements. The Candidate: Third level degree in business, environmental, science or related field. A senior purpose-driven operational leader with strong commercial, strategic and financial management skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management abilities. Proven experience delivering operational improvements, organisational change and business growth initiatives. Experience managing large-scale operations, contracts, suppliers and external partnerships. A strong commitment to sustainability, operational excellence and continuous improvement. Remuneration package: €120K - €140K plus excellent benefits.
