Role: Tax Accountant
The Role:
The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:
* Support and assist the Senior Tax Manager in completing and submitting corporation tax computations and returns within internal and statutory deadlines.
* Prepare tax provisions and related notes, including audit support, for quarterly US GAAP reporting and annual statutory filings. This includes posting related tax journals and preparing tax disclosures for Group and local financial statements.
* Assist the Finance team with VAT-related queries to ensure VAT compliance across the Group.
* Support the Senior Tax Manager in providing accurate tax advice to internal partners (Finance, Legal, HR, Treasury, etc.) in a timely manner. Review revenue streams and other matters to ensure tax compliance throughout the Group.
* Contribute to process improvements within the tax team and assist with restructuring and ad hoc tax projects.
* Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external entities such as Tax Authorities and advisors.
* Participate proactively in the Performance Management process to achieve personal and team objectives.
Ideal Candidate:
* Newly qualified Tax Advisor or Qualified Accountant; post-qualification experience is advantageous.
* Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Oracle), Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with AlphaTax is desirable.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Ownership of tasks to ensure timely completion.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
