Job Summary
The Advanced Technician, Process/Manufacturing Engineering (Swing Shift) at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for minimizing equipment downtime, providing engineering support to production, completing maintenance work, and resolving equipment problems to ensure hourly targets are met.
Hours Of Work
Week 1: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am–4:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am–3:00 pm
Week 2: Monday to Thursday 4:00 pm–12:00 am, Friday 3:00 pm–10:00 pm
Responsibilities
Work as part of a cross‑functional production support team to reduce downtime impact on production lines.
Investigate recurring equipment issues and conduct root cause analysis, focusing on electrical problems from 24 V DC to 3‑phase supplies.
Liaise with production supervisors, coordinators, and senior engineers to prioritize equipment downtime.
Apply Lean techniques (DBS Tolls) to continuously improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
Generate shift handovers, maintain accurate records, and handle environmental, health, and safety issues while ensuring compliance with all standards.
Essential Requirements
Technical degree or diploma with 5–7 years of maintenance experience in a highly automated industrial environment.
Experience in pneumatics, instrumentation, hydraulics, or vision systems.
Knowledge of quality assurance and regulatory standards such as cGMP, FDA QSR, or ISO.
Preferred Experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong knowledge of electronics and software‑controlled systems.
Structured and logical problem‑solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills.
Experience identifying and leading continuous improvement projects.
PLC programming and proficiency in electrical control systems.
Mechanical and pneumatic production line system experience.
