As Buyer, you will join a leading construction company who are specialists in structural alterations, civil engineering, substructure, concrete works and builder's works. Your new office is conveniently located in Dublin North/Meath. They require you to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As Buyer, your duties will include but are not limited to placing material, plant and equipment orders; creation and management of purchase orders; interfacing with site to book deliveries, interfacing with yard to manage materials, plant and equipment; vendor onboarding; strategic approach to sourcing new suppliers, negotiating best price, lead time whilst continually monitoring performance; stakeholder management; vetting existing supply chain; negotiating terms and conditions; sourcing and procuring equipment; assessing potential suppliers for quality; supporting continuous improvements; verifying and authorising supplier invoices; supporting data analysis and reporting objectives of the procurement team and any ad-hoc duties that fall into your new role.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have a minimum of 5 years buying/procurement experience in civil projects. Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are essential as you will be communicating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in using MS Suite is essential. A keen eye for detail and strong administrative skills are required.
With clear and relevant examples of your career achievements within a similar role, you will be a very strong candidate for this role.
