Overview
On behalf of our client, we are hiring 2 Business Development Specialists to join their growing team. One will cover the Leinster region and the other will cover the Munster region. The role focuses on generating sales of new and used equipment to a large existing regional customer base while maintaining and growing the company brand.
Responsibilities
* Achieve volume targets for new & used company and agency equipment.
* Manage route plan to ensure effective coverage of account base.
* Identify opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
* Develop negotiating strategies by examining risks and anticipating customer’s needs.
* Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements within business operations.
* Update your job knowledge by participating in internal and external educational opportunities.
* Align knowledge gained from the local and national market to support the company and its customers.
* Maintain and expand existing client database.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
* At least 5 year’s B2B experience working in a Business Development role.
* Capital Equipment experience required, ideally in the material handling environment.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Clean driving license and willingness to travel; overnight travel is a requirement of the role.
* High level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite.
* Ability to work on own initiative while being a strong team player.
