About the role
The RD&A Manager leads the Pan European Beverage, Dairy, and Functional Applications team, reporting to the RD&A Director for Pan Europe, focusing on managing the application pipeline, technical approvals, and collaboration with regional business units and foundational technology teams. The role demands experience in food technology, project management, customer engagement, and strong organisational and communication skills, with an emphasis on talent development, strategic project execution, and aligning consumer insights with application solutions.
Key responsibilities
* Strong people leader, developing and growing talent within the Applications team, supporting on development needs and growing strengths of the team
* Managing and delivering the application pipeline for Europe for the Beverage, Dairy and Functional sEUM.
* Responsible for the technical approval of relevant EUM opportunities in line with the business rules and ensuring that the required technical resource is allocated to fulfil the opportunities needs.
* Partnering closely with the regional Business Units (BU's) to ensure seamless execution on customer requirements and ensure resource to lead opportunities.
* Partnering with the Foundational technology teams to validate and promote Foundational technologies within the region, ensuring fit for purpose data to drive credibility in our technologies and identifying areas for focus to drive growth in line with the strategy.
* Ownership of the Application Innovation funnel and driving a pipeline of ideas to grow.
* Ownership of the execution sEUM strategic projects and close partnership with the EUM team to deliver against.
* Responsible for linking consumer and customer insights into application solutions
* Ensuring Collection offer is fit for purpose and identify gaps where required, working closely with the Foundational Technology teams to fill.
* Engaging with PE leaders to ensure that the ways of working are aligned with strategy and key focus areas.
* Expectation of this role will be fully Naas based 4-5 days per week.

* Competent in IT application
* Team working - work and collaboration with other team members within D&A and with key stakeholders

* Strong communication skills to engage different stakeholders within organisation and with customers
