Overview
Winthrop Technologies, headquartered in Dublin, is a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions across Europe. We design and deliver data centre projects from civil and structural to mechanical, electrical, and commissioning services. We are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects across Europe, equating to over 500 MW of IT load in flight. We are hiring a Power BI Developer to join our Business Information Systems (BIS) team to support analytics across Finance, HR, Payroll, and internal service management.
The role is hands-on, supporting multiple departments via Power BI. The successful candidate will design, develop, and support dashboards across Finance, HR, Payroll, and Topdesk-based Service/ITSM reporting. You'll integrate data from NetSuite (ERP), SAP (HR/Payroll), and Topdesk, maintaining secure and scalable dashboards for end users in each function. You will also provide support to business users and act as the escalation point for Power BI issues handled by junior BIS team members. The role is based full-time at our Ballymount HQ.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and maintain Power BI dashboards for Finance, HR, and Payroll.
* Integrate data from NetSuite, SAP, Topdesk, Excel-based sources, and other applications using Power Query (M) and DAX.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders in each department to improve reporting usability and accuracy.
* Maintain report refreshes, data pipelines, and shared datasets across multiple workspaces.
* Provide second-line support for Power BI issues escalated by the Junior BIS Administrator / Support Analyst.
* Write and manage DAX measures and Power Query logic to support accurate, efficient reporting.
* Own the report lifecycle: refresh monitoring, user access, error resolution, and performance optimization.
* Apply Row-Level Security (RLS) to manage sensitive data across departments (e.g., HR/payroll privacy, financial access).
* Ensure all reports are secure, reliable, and follow BIS governance standards (e.g., Row-Level Security, version control).
* Act as the technical liaison between Finance and BIS for reporting-related questions and improvements.
* Uphold governance standards: documentation, naming conventions, and version control.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
* 3+ years of experience with Power BI development and support.
* Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, and understand the business reporting requirements.
* Experience integrating data from ERP systems (preferred SAAS), HR/Payroll, and OData/ODBC feeds.
* Strong skills in DAX, Power Query, and Power BI data modeling.
* Solid understanding of financial reporting and payroll/HR data structures.
* Experience applying Row-Level Security (RLS) across departmental or user-based access layers.
Preferred
* Experience integrating data from NetSuite, SAP HR/Payroll, and Topdesk (via OData).
* Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) certification.
* Background in FP&A, HR analytics, or service delivery reporting.
* Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) is a plus.
