SHEQ Advisor Dublin A well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor for major projects based in Dublin.
This fixed-term role (18 months) will be responsible for supporting health & safety, environmental, and quality compliance across civil engineering works, including substation and underground transmission line connection projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project and Contracts Manager to ensure accurate, compliant, and proactive SHEQ delivery.
This role suits a detail-focused SHEQ professional with strong auditing, reporting, and communication skills.
Role: Review, update, and communicate all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and investigations; compile reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Develop and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Record, investigate, and follow up on all accidents and near-miss events.
Deliver site inductions to employees, contractors, and visitors.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor SHEQ training requirements.
Maintain and update all SHEQ administration and documentation in line with ISO, ISO, and ISO 9001:2015.
Support continuous improvement of SHEQ systems, processes, and project compliance.
Requirements: NEBOSH OHAS Qualification Certificate (minimum held for 2 years).
Environmental or Quality-related qualifications beneficial.
Experience with ISO, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar SHEQ / Health & Safety role within construction or civil engineering.
Experience with substations or underground transmission line projects advantageous but not essential.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong IT proficiency, especially in Word and Excel.
Full valid driving licence and right to work in Ireland.
