EHS Professional
Our client is a leading Irish Contractor undertaking projects throughout Ireland in large-scale construction.
The role of EHS Professional involves developing, monitoring, and implementing the company's Environmental Health and Safety Management System to ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulation.
This includes implementing the company's Environmental Health and Safety policy, procedures, and management systems. The EHS Professional will provide guidance and instruction in all health & safety matters to management, safety representatives, and employees (including sub-contractors where appropriate).
The EHS Professional ensures overall compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions and legislation.
The position requires ensuring good safety practices are managed and maintained. Additionally, delivering Health & Safety training programs such as inductions for new employees or sub-contractors working on site.
The EHS Professional coordinates reviewing and developing task-specific EHS documentation like method statements, risk assessments, safe plans of actions, and permits to work.
Conduct regular inspections and site audits, report findings to site and senior company management, and follow up to ensure actions are addressed promptly.
Reporting incidents, recording them, investigating, communicating lessons learned, and notifying Directors, the Health & Safety Authority, and Insurers as required. Ensuring that safety interventions are completed and recorded.
The role also involves proactive approaches to project EHS requirements. Carrying out administrative duties to maintain the EHS Management system, including maintaining registers, records, monthly reports, and reporting presentations to management.
Advise and assist site management in drafting and communicating EHS initiatives and Toolbox Talks. Compiling relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File and preparing for handover to the Client at the end of the project.

Requirements
* Hold a relevant third-level qualification in Environmental, Health and Safety.
* 3+ years' experience.
* Previous experience working on a large project.
* A full, clean Driving license.
* Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills.
* Ability to work independently and exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to build strong working relationships and stakeholder management.
