Manufacturing Site IT Technician at Phibro Animal Health Corporation located in Sligo, Ireland. This role provides onsite IT support for the Sligo manufacturing location and all European sites outside Israel.
Job Description
Provide IT support for the Sligo manufacturing location and all European locations outside of Israel. Responsibilities include local end‑user support for manufacturing systems, conference rooms, PC hardware, mobile devices, printers, and user accessibility. Work closely with the corporate IT team to resolve issues that affect applications, servers, networks, and 3rd‑party infrastructure.
Responsibilities
* Order, build, and configure PCs; deliver PCs to end users with instructions and orientation.
* Manage intake of incoming hardware requirements for on‑boarding end users.
* Manage, monitor, and support all AV equipment & services in local conference/meeting rooms.
* Perform moves, adds & changes on office phones and systems.
* Provide hardware & software support in person or via telephone, including workstation hardware, specialized business applications, and general productivity software.
* Resolve complex questions/problems concerning Windows desktop configuration, networking, printing, and standard desktop hardware & software.
* Monitor and update ITSM system for local tickets, manage open tickets, and update end users on status; Escalate tickets as necessary.
* Address customer complaints & escalations and report them to management.
* Provide white‑glove support for senior management executives & high‑profile customers to ensure their needs are handled expeditiously.
* Ensure obsolete equipment is properly disposed of in accordance with Phibro policies and all applicable governmental requirements.
* Lead and manage local projects, systems & procedures to meet departmental goals.
* Provide local support to Infrastructure & Operations teams, reacting to local operational status of servers, WAN circuits, routers, network hubs, and switches across the location.
* Maintain thorough knowledge of Phibro applications, including Microsoft Office 365, Office 2016, Outlook 2016, Windows 10/11, Anti‑Virus, Active Directory, Endpoint Manager, and other relevant tools.
* Build and deploy PCs; upgrade and deploy software.
* Respond to requests for assistance via phone, email, ITSM system, or walk‑ins as first‑ and second‑level technical user support; Escalate to next level or management as required.
* Configure, inventory, and deploy mobile devices based on company standards and support of the global workforce.
* Understand LAN/WAN/VPN infrastructure.
Education
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of formal relevant experience.
Experience
* Minimum 3 years in a Desktop Support environment.
* Minimum 3 years in a Helpdesk/Service Desk environment.
* Minimum 3 years in networks, operating systems, storage platforms, and virtual servers.
* Experience with a customer service ticketing system such as Service‑Now.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays & on‑call.
* Skill to interface with senior management.
