This role is responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
It involves leading the development of strategic plans, providing expert guidance to stakeholders, facilitating consultation with Safety Committees and Representatives, and promoting a positive H&S culture within the organization.
The successful candidate will oversee the compilation and analysis of accident investigation reports, conduct regular audits and risk assessments, and develop Emergency Plans.
They will also provide health and safety reports and metrics to senior management and administer Health and Safety software systems.
To be considered for this position, applicants should have a third-level qualification in Health & Safety or a similar field.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Safety Officer is required, with a strong understanding of Irish and EU health and safety legal requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work on own initiative and solve problems.
Skill sets include health and safety engineering, manufacturing, and auditing.
