Dublin North County (DNC) and Dublin North City & West (DNCW) Mental Health Services is a service funded by the Health Service Executive (HSE) and is committed to work practices in line with national HSE policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and national standards.
The quantum of services provided include: Acute Mental Health Inpatient Services, Psychiatric Intensive Care services, Non-Acute Specialist Inpatient Services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Psychiatry of Later Life Services, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, Community Residential Services, Homebased Treatment Service, Homeless Mental Health Services, DeafHear liaison service, Day Hospital Intervention, Day Services, Specialist outpatient and in reach teams (Liaison, Bereavement, CBT, DSH, Assertive Outreach, Primary Care, Family Therapy) and Community Mental Health Teams.
North Dublin Mental Health Services provide mental health service to approximately 258,000 people.
Acute services are provided in the Ashlin Centre (approved centre) which is located on the grounds of Beaumont Hospital.
The O'Casey Rooms in the Fairview Community Unit provide care for people with mental health problems in Later Life.
Our Community services are located in Coolock, Tonlegee Rd, Killester, Swords and Balbriggan.
Dublin North City Mental Health Services, provide mental health service to approximately 362,460 people.
Acute services are provided in the Department of Psychiatry, Connolly Hospital, Mater Misericordiae Hospital and the Phoenix Care Centre.
Our Community services operate in Blanchardstown, Cabra, Finglas, Clontarf, Marino, Fairview, Ballymun and the North Inner City.
This Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNSp) Liaison Psychiatry post will support the implementation of a model of integrated care within DNCCMHS and the acute services, thus optimizing the service users' recovery and quality of life and contributing to an integrated health service.
This CNSp (Liaison Psychiatry) will ensure creditability, approachability and high visibility within DNCCMHS and the acute service and will have strong support from senior managers.
The support of a dedicated, highly skilled CNSp in Liaison Psychiatry is fundamental in supporting effective mental health recovery, rehabilitation and preventable harm to services users within the DNCCMHS.
