Role Overview:As a Healthcare Assistant with Elm Homecare, you'll provide personal, emotional, and practical support to clients in their own homes, promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.Key Responsibilities:Personal Care: Assist with daily routines such as dressing, washing, toileting, mobility, and feeding.Emotional Support: Offer companionship, encourage social interaction, and support emotional well-being.Domestic Support: Help with light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment.Monitoring & Reporting: Record care provided and report changes in health or behaviour to supervisors.Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and infection control policies, ensuring high standards of care.Qualifications & Experience:Preferred: QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or relevant modules (Care Skills & Care of the Older Person).Experience: Previous care experience required; knowledge of safeguarding and safety protocols is desirable.Skills: Good communication, reliability, empathy, teamwork, and a genuine interest in caring for others.Benefits:Competitive pay with additional rates for evenings and weekends and bank holidays.Paid mileage at €0.39 per km.Fortnightly payOngoing training and development.Flexible, supportive, and inclusive work environment.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €15.00-€21.00 per hourBenefits:Additional leaveEmployee assistance programFlexitimeFree or subsidised travelSick payWork Location: On the road
