A.W. Ennis Ltd. is a leading manufacturer with a long-established reputation for high-quality animal feeds. Located outside Virginia, Co. Cavan, our facilities supply feeds for a wide range of farm livestock across the island of Ireland.We are now recruiting for an In-house Agricultural Technician who will work alongside the company nutritionist.Reporting to the Technical Director and working alongside the Feed Quality Team, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the following;Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to the management team on general operations and qualityProvide internal support in the following areas;Formulation control – updating mill systems and recording formula changes.Product declaration – maintaining accurate product labels.Ensuring sampling and analysis results and routine reporting according to plan.Assist in the administration of Key Customer Accounts including quality reportingand follow up of queries and complaints alongside QA.Manage the manufacture of medicated feeds in accordance with legal requirementsand in accordance with veterinary scripts.Technical liaison for Sustainable agriculture in all species.General ResponsibilitiesWork closely with colleagues across both technical and quality whilst providing cover for team members when required.Participate in the HACCP teamCommunicate requirements to production and compile and report to management (Dept of Agri/IGFA).Be familiar with and provide support for audit and regulatory requirements.Attend internal quality meetings.Attend external technical meetings – representing the company with national bodies (Dept of Agri/IGFA).Represent the company with customer meetings/supplier meetings.Presentations – both internal and externalRequirements3rd level qualification ideally in Agriculture/Food Science.Practical knowledge of animal production.
