Depositary Consultant
Job Description:
This role entails working in a collaborative environment, performing depositary and trustee operational duties in line with corporate governance and infrastructure regulations. The successful candidate will oversee key areas including investment restriction monitoring, accurate management information reporting, supporting new business activity, data management requirements, and internal/external reporting.
Principal Responsibilities:
* Investment and Compliance Monitoring:
o Complete investment and borrowing limit checklists;
o Perform investment restriction and leverage reviews;
o Monitor and review monthly investment manager confirmations - including Value-at-Risk; Update and maintain the regulatory breaches register; and ensure prompt response to client & internal queries.
* Data Management and MI Reporting:
o Support the production of Management Information and key risk reporting;
o Complete and monitor fund risk assessment reporting;
* Client, Board and Regulatory Reporting:
o Assist in the collation of data for quarterly board reporting and monthly client reporting;
o Contribute and deliver monthly client reporting within specified deadlines;
o Support internal risk reporting;
o Assist in the completion and submission of Central Bank reporting;
o Issue standard letters to regulators;
o Assist with the production of audit confirmation letters/schedules of holdings.
* Additional Responsibilities:
o Participate in the development of departmental procedures;
o Able to escalate issues in a timely manner to the management team;
o Support depositary operations requirements;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Funds background;
* Ability to work within a multi-team structure;
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
* Ability to work on own initiative;
* Working knowledge of fund accounting/transfer agency systems (an advantage);
Benefits:
