Accounts Assistant A well-established business is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team.
This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys day-to-day finance operations, cash management, and working closely with internal & external teams.
Key responsibilities Process supplier invoices and support weekly payment runs Complete daily/weekly bank reconciliations and support account maintenance Assist with accounts receivable activities, including statements, allocations and follow-up on overdue balances Issue invoices and related supporting documentation Post journals and maintain accurate ledgers Support month-end close tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations Assist with cashflow tracking and short-term forecasting Provide support during audit and year-end reporting processes Build strong relationships with internal teams and external contacts Support wider finance/admin duties as required About you Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Technician / Finance Assistant role Accounts Technician Qualification or similar Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations and month-end routines Good attention to detail and organised approach to workload Comfortable working with finance systems and Excel Clear communicator with a practical, team-focused mindset What's on offer Broad exposure across core finance functions Stable and supportive team environment Opportunity to build on existing skills and grow in the role
