About the Role
A well-established civil engineering contractor working in the renewable infrastructure sector is seeking a
Junior Quantity Surveyor
to join their team.
This is a developmental role, ideal for a graduate or early-career Quantity Surveyor looking to gain hands-on experience on civil and renewable energy projects.
You will work closely with senior commercial and project teams in a supportive environment with clear progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day cost control and commercial management
Support preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
Measurement, valuations, and interim payment applications
Assist with subcontractor procurement, valuations, and variations
Review subcontractor and supplier invoices
Maintain accurate cost records and assist with reporting
Support change control and variation tracking
Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
1-5 years' experience (graduates encouraged to apply)
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work on site when required
