Job Description:

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a highly enthusiastic, proactive, and organised individual.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Purple House Cancer Support's community and events fundraising programme.

The candidate should be confident, capable of working independently, and able to meet fundraising targets. A passion for Purple House Cancer Support and managing volunteers is essential.

The fundraising officer will liaise with external fundraisers, handle queries, and promote Purple House to potential donors, corporate partners, and other stakeholders as directed by the Fundraising Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Manage community fundraising activities from the public.
* Oversee a portfolio of fundraising events from start to finish, including evaluation.
* Maintain accurate donor information and income data in the CRM.
* Assist in creating and implementing supporter journeys.
* Promote Purple House within the community and ensure excellent supporter care to maximize engagement and income.
* Attend fundraising and other events, which may require weekend and evening work.
* Engage supporters via digital channels and social media.
* Recruit and retain fundraising and event volunteers.
* Collaborate with the fundraising manager and other departments to achieve strategic goals.
* Report on fundraising campaigns to the Fundraising Manager.

Person Specification

* At least 2 years' experience in fundraising or a public-facing role.
* Excellent communication skills to engage and inspire supporters.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good planning and organisational abilities, with experience multitasking and prioritising.
* Exceptional relationship management skills.
* Experience with CRM systems is desirable.

Other Requirements

* Flexibility in working hours.
* Full Drivers Licence.
