The Sous Chef will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, maintaining high culinary standards, and leading a skilled team to deliver consistently excellent dishes. Key Duties & Responsibilities Support the Head Chef in the overall management of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery. Supervise and motivate the kitchen team to ensure efficiency, consistency, and high-quality output. Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards while maintaining portion and waste control. Oversee food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance across all kitchen operations. Assist with stock management, ordering, and supplier relations to ensure cost-effective kitchen operations. Contribute to menu development and daily specials, bringing creativity and innovation to the food offering. Step in and manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring seamless service. Requirements Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy, high-volume restaurant or bar. Strong culinary skills with a passion for quality food and seasonal ingredients. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. A proactive and hands-on approach with the ability to work under pressure. In-depth knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards. Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland. Visa and relocation packages are not provided.
