Job Title
A Senior Microbiology Manager is required to lead the onsite microbiology team.
The role involves managing and controlling microbial testing of pharmaceutical products for release.
Key responsibilities include ensuring highest quality standards are maintained, adopting industry best practice in accordance with current GLP, GMP and regulatory directives.
Other key tasks include ensuring laboratory analysis is carried out safely, efficiently and in a timely manner.
The Senior Microbiology Manager will also be responsible for establishing validity of test methods in the laboratory and documenting them.
Interacting efficiently with other department managers/directors is also an essential aspect of the role.
Ensuring department readiness for audits, both internal and external authorities, is another key responsibility of the position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a science related discipline (preferably Microbiology/Pharmaceutical Sciences) and 8+ years managerial/supervisory pharmaceutical industrial experience preferably within a microbiology department.
* Ability to provide leadership including the development and training of team members.
* Project management, resource planning and budgeting skills are highly desirable.
* Ability to work cross functionally with other departments (Analytical, Quality, Manufacturing and Regulatory).
* Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases, Microsoft project planning software).
* Working knowledge of isolator technology and environmental monitoring of a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
