Job Title: Health and Safety Professional

">

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing health and safety systems on-site.

">

Main Responsibilities:

">
">
* Log and investigate all incidents and near misses on-site;
">
* Track trends and compile reports for Business Unit leadership;
">
* Drive the ongoing improvement and application of safety policies, standards, and procedures across the site;
">
* Deliver health and safety training and awareness sessions for management and staff;
">
* Ensure consistent enforcement of safety practices in coordination with Business Unit Managers;
">
* Collaborate with the Site Manager to plan and allocate resources for health and safety training programs;
">
* Lead and chair site safety meetings, keeping management teams informed of key updates and initiatives;
">
* Ensure all team members are appropriately trained and competent to carry out their roles safely;
">
* Conduct regular risk assessments and review existing ones to maintain site compliance;
">
* Manage internal audit processes, assess performance, and develop improvement actions as needed;
">
* Submit monthly health and safety reports to the Site Manager, highlighting key risks and proposed actions;
">
* Perform unannounced safety inspections to ensure compliance with site and group-level policies;
">
* Identify and escalate any breaches of policy to the Site and Group Health & Safety Managers.

Candidate Profile:

">

Health & Safety qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred); Minimum 1.5 / 2 years experience in a health and safety role, ideally in a food production or manufacturing environment; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to work independently, using sound judgement and initiative; Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and challenge existing practices; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); Training delivery experience is an advantage.
