About the Role
Tesco Ireland is seeking a Line Manager to lead and support a department and team in delivering an exceptional shopping experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Create a welcoming environment for colleagues and customers
* Ensure the store runs smoothly when the Store Manager or Deputy Manager are not present
* Fully train and validate team members in their roles
* Foster a culture of two-way communication and trust
* Coach and manage colleagues to meet daily priorities and customer needs
* Review reports and systems to improve customer and colleague experiences
* Drive a zero food waste culture and manage date codes
* Recruit top talent for the team, selecting those passionate about customers
* Manage stock control activities, warehouse layout, and processes
* Root cause incorrect prices, overcharges, refunds, and label routines
* Optimise the front-end operation to reduce customer queues
* Recognise and reward excellent customer service, address subpar service when necessary
Requirements
* Demonstrated track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment
* Adaptable and agile thinking
* Previous retail experience in a similar role preferred
* Strong leadership skills and entrepreneurial attitude
