Procurement Specialist
Job Summary
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for procuring stock inventory materials, components, and packaging to support production through Material Requirements Planning (MRP) execution. This role involves ensuring timely delivery of materials, maintaining supplier relationships, and implementing compliance procedures to ensure audit-readiness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procure stock inventory materials, components, and packaging to meet production demands.
2. Maintain supplier relationships through regular communication, including phone calls, emails, and meetings.
3. Implement compliance procedures to ensure all records are up-to-date and audit-ready.
4. Generate purchase orders according to established policies and procedures.
5. Monitor supplier performance using established metrics and procedures.
6. Purchasing specifications management; generation of specifications, upload of approved documents to NWQS and filing of same.
7. Support new site projects as a Supply Chain representative; managing the critical path and ensuring key dates are met.
This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
Requirements
* Procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
* Familiarity with supply chain management software and systems.
