Job Description
The successful candidate will be capable of leading or supporting projects that support existing hydrophilic coated products and technologies. They will help drive the development and integration of new materials, processes or technologies into new products and processes.
The successful candidate will also have a good understanding of medical device design controls, participate in cross-functional teams and interface with colleagues at all levels within the organization to effectively deliver solutions which benefit our customers.
* Provide technical support to NPD, Global Marketing, Engineering and Manufacturing
* Lead or support projects/project teams to select and demonstrate the feasibility of alternative materials, processes or technologies for new and existing products
* Prepare technical documentation in accordance with regulatory and design control requirements and with the company's development processes
Requirements
Work Experience
5-8 years of overall experience is necessary, preferably 5+ years in a technical role ideally in Research & Development or Process Development roles
Education
An honours Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Materials/Polymer Science or Engineering (Polymer/ Biomedical), Biochemical Engineering or related discipline is required
Key Skills
* Experience of hydrophilic coating technologies, materials science and surface chemistry
* Strong initiative and follow through in executing project responsibilities, overcoming obstacles and balancing multiple priorities effectively through strong technical and/or project leadership
* Attention to detail and good understanding of design controls and associated documentation
