Our client is currently recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor in our Distribution Centre in Baldonnel, Co. Dublin. Role Purpose: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the daily coordination and supervision of warehouse activities within the distribution centre, ensuring safe, efficient and accurate handling of inventory and timely order fulfilment. This role plays a vital part in leading the warehouse team, maintaining high standards of performance and achieving operational targets in line with business goals. Key Accountabilities: Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate and develop a team of warehouse operatives to achieve productivity and accuracy targets. Operational Efficiency: Plan and manage daily workflows across receiving, picking, packing, dispatching and inventory control. Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and cleanliness standards; ensure all team members follow SOPs and safety protocols. Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs such as order accuracy, lines per man-day, pick rates and on-time dispatch; take corrective actions as needed. Training & Development: Provide on-the-job training, ensure staff competency and support career progression within the team. Inventory Accuracy: Monitor stock levels, investigate discrepancies and support periodic stock takes and cycle counts. Collaboration: Work closely with managers, transport teams and customer service to ensure smooth coordination across functions. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs and enhance service quality. Essential Experience: Proven experience (3+ years) in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role, preferably in a high-volume distribution environment. Strong leadership and people management skills with a hands-on approach. Sound understanding of warehouse operations, stock control and health & safety standards. Ability to interpret and act on performance data and KPIs. Excellent problem-solving, organisational and communication skills. Competency using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office tools. Flexible and adaptable comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
