We are looking for an individual with proven team leadership experience in a retail environment to join our ILAC Store in Dublin as an Assistant Store Manager.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the running of the store and driving the team’s performance to ensure excellent customer service is delivered and all targets are met.
What will you be doing?
* Open and close the store, carry out till counts, investigate, resolve, action or escalate any till losses or discrepancies, cashing up, safe counts, banking, and manage Securicor collections.
* Manage the shopfloor and back-office areas, including queues, customer issues, stock availability issues, and printing issues.
* Ensure all deliveries are received and processed efficiently and the shopfloor is commercially merchandised.
* Provide the store team with direction and guidance to complete daily tasks and achieve targets.
* In conjunction with the Store Manager, manage the store team’s performance daily and resolve any store and/or staff issues successfully.
* Support the Store Manager in ensuring the store is effectively resourced, including planning rotas and recruiting employees.
* Make decisions that generate sales and enhance store profitability.
* Complete all paperwork and store actions to deliver consistent results above retail benchmarks for Store Compliance Audits.
* Deliver refresher training to the existing store team and support the induction and training of new team members.
* Coordinate shopfloor moves, promotional activities, and product launches, including key actions for match days.
* Oversee stock transfers to other stores or the Distribution Centre, ensuring all paperwork is completed and stock is tracked.
* Oversee stock counts and stock takes.
* Participate in regular meetings and training in accordance with retail standards.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have proven managerial or supervisory experience within a retail store setting, excellent team leadership skills, and experience motivating, coaching, and supervising staff. You should understand and work with KPIs.
You should be customer-focused, commercially aware, with knowledge of retail operations and a track record of achieving targets and KPIs. Strong product knowledge and a keen understanding of providing excellent shopping experiences are essential.
Additionally, you should demonstrate excellent numerical and analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and confidence working in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work varied hours is required.
