Site Setting Out Engineer Job Description:
* Set out the works and ensure that foremen and operatives clearly understand the information provided
* Disseminate information from drawings, specifications, etc. to foremen, operatives, subcontractors, so that they clearly understand what is required
* Test materials as directed by your supervisor/line manager in accordance with the relevant specifications
* Coordinate site traffic, ensuring smooth workflow within a busy location
* Record all daily activities, relevant information, and occurrences in a detailed site log
* Document and report on work progress, including subcontractor performance, to your manager
* Adhere to safety protocols – correct and report any deviations
* Foster professional relationships with all personnel
* Monitor and verify the functionality of setting out instruments and testing equipment
* Maximize efficiency through self-management, accuracy, and minimizing rework
* Attend meetings and follow directions as necessary
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to interpret technical documentation
* Proficiency in operating setting out instruments and testing equipment
* Basic knowledge of project management principles
