Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of Medical Science/Technology Program or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician (Assistant)

Perform laboratory tasks under the supervision of a qualified technologist, including blood sample collection, specimen preparation, and routine testing procedures.
Maintain laboratory equipment, prepare chemical reagents, and ensure proper quality control documentation.
Process and prepare specimens for referral to external laboratories, ensuring timely documentation and communication of results.
Assist in routine laboratory maintenance, including equipment upkeep, temperature monitoring, and stocking supplies.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
Extensive computer competency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent organizational, time management and record-keeping skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to deal with public/patients on specimen collection
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Assets
Bilingual
Excellent attendance record (records will be reviewed)
Experience in Meditech software application(s)
Experience in Phlebotomy
Experience in Electrography
