Job Description:

The Legal and Policy Conditions Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company's insurance products comply with legal and regulatory standards.
\
This specialist will be responsible for drafting policy terms and conditions for new insurance programmes, collaborating with Business Development and the Legal department.
\
Key responsibilities include reviewing existing policy terms and conditions, making changes as required, and liaising with portfolio underwriters responsible for specific territories.
\
The specialist will also assist the underwriting team with policy wording recommendations and best practices.
\
Additionally, they will be responsible for implementing reinsurance contract renewals and commutation processes for cancelled / run-off reinsurance programmes.
\
The Legal and Policy Conditions Specialist will work closely with the AYINS legal department to ensure reinsurance contracts, mediation contracts, and policy wording align to industry norms and regulatory requirements.
\
This role is subject to Central Bank of Ireland Control Function Requirements, including the Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) and Fitness and Probity Standards (Standards).
\
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum 3 years' experience in motor underwriting (reinsurance / insurance), CIP qualification, and excellent analytical skills and decision-making ability.
\
You should have experience in the design and construction of policy wordings for a range of motor insurance and ancillary covers, as well as working with reinsurance contracts.
\
A highly organized individual with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, act on own initiative, and provide expertise as part of a specialized team is required.
