Role Overview
A leading Irish Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager (Or strong Project Manager) to oversee the delivery of major mission‑critical / data centre projects in the Greater Dublin / Meath region, with significant new phases and projects commencing from August onward.
The business has a long‑established reputation delivering complex, large‑scale construction projects across Ireland and the UK, with a particularly strong track record in the data centre and high‑tech sector.
This role will oversee multiple delivery teams across mission‑critical projects, ensuring programme, quality, safety, commercial performance, and operational excellence are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Operational Leadership
Oversee the successful delivery of major data centre / mission‑critical projects from mobilisation through commissioning and handover.
Manage Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, and subcontractor leadership teams.
Ensure operational consistency and delivery performance across all assigned projects.
Programme & Delivery Management
Lead programme strategy, sequencing, and delivery planning across live projects.
Identify programme risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain critical milestones.
Coordinate all phases of construction including:
Groundworks & civils
MEP integration
Client handover
Mission Critical Coordination
Oversee complex subcontractor and specialist package coordination within live mission‑critical environments.
Drive quality and technical compliance across highly regulated and programme‑sensitive projects.
Ensure alignment between construction, commissioning, and client operational requirements.
Commercial & Contractual Oversight
Work closely with commercial teams to monitor budgets, procurement, variations, and financial performance.
Support commercial strategy, reporting, and subcontractor performance management.
Ensure strong governance and contractual compliance across projects.
Health, Safety & Quality
Champion best‑in‑class health & safety culture across all projects.
Ensure compliance with company systems, mission‑critical standards, and statutory requirements.
Oversee QA/QC processes, inspections, testing, and quality close‑out procedures.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Maintain strong relationships with hyperscale clients, consultants, and delivery partners.
Lead senior progress meetings and operational reporting.
Act as a key point of contact for project delivery performance and escalation management.
Candidate Requirements
Experience
12–20+ years’ experience within construction delivery roles.
Proven experience delivering mission‑critical / data centre projects is essential.
Strong background with a Tier 1 contractor environment preferred.
Experience managing multiple large‑scale technical projects simultaneously advantageous.
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of:
MEP integration
High‑specification technical environments
Strong understanding of programme management, subcontractor coordination, and operational delivery on fast‑paced projects.
Leadership
Strong people management and operational leadership capability.
Experience leading multidisciplinary site teams across complex projects.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
