Role Purpose:
Are you passionate about technology and eager to kick-start your IT career? We're looking for a Junior IT Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. This is a hands-on role where you'll manage support tickets, assist end users, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the organisation.
You'll gain exposure to a wide range of technologies, from hardware troubleshooting to Microsoft 365 administration, and receive on-the-job training to help you grow.
What You'll Do
IT Support & Ticket Management
* Respond to and resolve IT support requests via Freshdesk.
* Provide first-line support for PCs, laptops, and mobile devices.
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues.
* Coordinate with Dell for warranty and repair cases.
Device Setup & Deployment
* Configure and deploy PCs, laptops, and mobile devices (iOS & Android).
* Manage device upgrades and replacements.
* Perform PC/laptop setup for new and existing staff.
User Account Management
* Create and configure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 accounts.
* Handle password resets and access requests.
* Manage leaver processes and equipment reallocation.
Equipment & Inventory
* Maintain accurate IT asset records.
* Monitor stock levels and order equipment as needed.
* Oversee organisation of the IT setup room and storeroom.
Office Technology & Safety
* Ensure tidy desk wiring and assist with ergonomic checks.
* Test Teams Rooms weekly and maintain meeting room equipment.
Additional Duties
* Provide cover for senior IT staff during absences.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Relevant IT qualification (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree).
* Strong knowledge of Windows OS and basic troubleshooting skills.
* Initiative and problem-solving ability with good judgment on escalation.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
* Experience with Freshdesk or similar ticketing systems.
* Knowledge of Intune, Autopilot, and mobile device support.
* Ability to research and use AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) for solutions.
