About the Role:
We have an immediate vacancy for a Contracts Manager to join our Contracts Team based in the West of Ireland. As a Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring project development, implementation, and completion are achieved within the specified programme. You will work closely with the Project Management team and oversee the coordination and operation of the site to deliver key project milestones and successful project completion. Roles and Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility for delivery of MEICA Contracts in the West of Ireland
* Project manage all aspects of water and wastewater pumping and treatment installations primarily focused on Mechanical/Electrical/ICA requirements with minor civil works included
* Review tender submissions upon contract award and develop a plan for contract delivery
* Assign tenders won to the appropriate Project Manager for delivery
* Assist with a smooth transition from tendering to contract delivery team
* Lead contract design, considering innovative solutions and opportunities for off-site manufacture
* Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the delivery of new and existing contracts
* Oversee commercial matters during contract delivery, including procurement, negotiating subcontracts, and managing client relationships
* Monitor project programmes for multiple contracts
* Coordinate regular contract review meetings with the contracts team
* Ensure monthly invoicing targets are met
* Create project programmes and ensure all interfaces from design to commissioning and handover are managed
* Liaise and coordinate all works with clients and stakeholders
* Manage site labour, including subcontractors
* Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
* Write engineering reports, review method statements, and commissioning schedules
* Implement procedures to facilitate safe contract delivery
* Manage and update the monthly project tracker
* Contribute to EPS contracts growth and business development strategies
* Attend regular meetings with the EPS MEICA Contracts Leadership Team
Skills / Attributes:
* Proven experience in managing, mentoring, and improving team members
* Proficiency in PC skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience in mechanical and electrical design, with the ability to review and interpret specifications
* Knowledge of process designs in the water and wastewater treatment sector is advantageous
* Proven track record in delivering projects with a mechanical and electrical focus
* Strong collaborative skills and team effectiveness
* Willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater industry
* Experience with health & safety standards in project delivery
Education Requirements:
* Third-level Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering degree/diploma
* Relevant degree or mechanical/electrical craft background
Additional Requirements:
* Full clean driving licence
* Experience in a similar role
