Deputy Store Manager – Paddy Power
Excel Recruitment is thrilled to partner with Paddy Power in their exciting quest for hiring new talent across South Dublin, North Dublin and the City Centre stores. We are seeking Deputy Store Managers and Store Managers, to join the teams at these vibrant locations. As Deputy Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in day‑to‑day operations, helping ensure the store thrives by providing top‑notch service, motivating your team, and maintaining high standards throughout.
We’re looking for retail supervisors / managers ideally from a hospitality / coffee shops or customer service retail, who excel in busy, people‑focused environments. You’ll build strong, lasting customer relationships and foster an enjoyable atmosphere that keeps visitors returning.
Key Responsibilities as Deputy Store Manager
* Support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring security protocols are followed
* Lead, train, mentor and motivate your team to deliver outstanding customer service, support recruitment, performance management, and coaching initiatives.
* Maintain a high level of customer service, resolving customer queries and maintain a welcoming, high-energy environment
* Assist in implementing strategies to achieve store KPIs; monitor sales data, understand trends and support the team in closing business goals.
* Lead by example and inspire your team to uphold high standards of store presentation and visual merchandising.
Skills and Experience Required
* 1-2 years customer-facing experience, ideally in retail or hospitality. Comfortable working directly with the public and managing service delivery.,
* Prior assistant or supervisory experience preferred
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Strong leadership and interpersonal ability
* Organisational and multitasking capability, able to balance operations, staffing, customer interactions, and administrative tasks in a busy environment
* Problem solving and decision-making skills
