How you'll make an impact:
To obtain new customers for Travelport with an overall objective of growing revenue and market share.
The role will focus on identifying, qualifying, driving qualified leads into opportunities within Travelport Global Business Development Team.
This role focuses on top of sales funnel activities including research, outbound sales calls, lead management and qualification and initial engagement with sales executives to progress the lead to a qualified opportunity.
Internally, it will require liaison between Sales, Marketing and Commercial Operations team to build and develop healthy sales pipelines.
It involves identifying and defining customer needs, articulating Travelport value proposition through solid elevator pitch, enabling deeper conversations and nurturing initial relationships with potential new customers.
Your role in action:
Collaborate and co-ordinate efforts between Marketing, Sales & Commercial Operations to target and build an attractive proposition to the market.
Engaging interest and call to action to non-Travelport business.
Identify & target potential customers and new opportunities through research, proactive outreach and focused sales campaigns.
Creating qualitative and quantitative information to illustrate the opportunity.
Build and maintain lead pipeline of potential customers and new business opportunities in CRM with a view to nurturing and managing them into qualified sales pipeline.
Tracking, reporting and driving activities in CRM as part of lead generation pipeline.
Book meetings, manage and nurture early-stage relationships, understand business requirements versus Travelport product and solution offering to determine alignment and next stage development.
Effectively handover qualified pipeline opportunities to Business Development Managers to work through the sales cycle and maximize potential to close the sale.
Provision of accurate, relevant and up to date information relating to the generation of leads, management of prospects, qualification process.
Participation in pipeline management meetings, to outline the opportunities, share potential and collaborate with wider internal stakeholders to effectively manage CRM Pipeline.
Liaise with other internal departments as required to effectively nurture and grow effective leads.
Provide accurate forecasts and reports on activity and sales performance as and when required by management
Ability to devise creative opportunities which will open the door for Travelport products and services i.e. utilising new/non-GDS products to create non-traditional revenues.

Professional
Track record of delivering results against a target quota.
Ability to value sell through identifying customer requirements and mapping to Travelport solutions.
Commercial acumen and business development skills.
Ability to identify opportunities and build a management plan around that.
Proven track record in a solutions selling capacity within high-tech and/or travel industry
Self-starter with ability to apply initiative and make objective decisions around opportunity qualification
Proven ability to engage influence and persuade
Excellent and credible presentation skills
Can demonstrate ability to plan ****** days
Experience of working in a technology and /or travel related business
Operational
Fluent in English, ideally multi-lingual.
Proficient in ensuring Oracle CRM is always up to date
Ability to learn and develop a solid understanding of Travelport's Products, and services, continually
developing knowledge
Understanding of and company compliance with Legal terms & conditions
Takes ownership of understanding the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP)
Develops and maintains knowledge of customer buying process

Education/Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
