Volunteering at Water Safety Ireland (WSI) plays an important role in building strong and connected communities that deliver programmes to ensure that our waterways are enjoyed safely by all.
A significant portion of WSI's services are performed on a voluntary basis.
A Volunteer Support Executive is now required to lead and develop a high-quality volunteer programme that supports volunteers to contribute meaningfully, safely and effectively at national and local level across the organisation.
This role will be crucial in empowering our volunteers.
Reporting to the HR & Compliance Officer, the Volunteer Support Executive will actively engage and communicate with our volunteers to ensure that all remain informed of, and understand, WSI initiatives and projects, and are empowered to comply with the requirements that fall upon each member of WSI as a state body and registered charity.
The role will lead the support, development and recognition of volunteers and assist in recruitment and onboarding of volunteers while ensuring best practice in volunteer engagement, safeguarding, inclusion, governance and compliance.
The role will work collaboratively across business units to build a positive culture of volunteer involvement and ensure an excellent volunteer experience throughout the organisation.
