Clinical Nurse Manager Job Description
As a Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to our residents in a safe and supportive environment. You will oversee the day-to-day clinical management of the centre, ensuring high standards of care, compliance with regulations, and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture among staff.
The successful candidate will have experience in disability, residential, or respite care and possess strong leadership and management skills. They will also have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, as well as a good working knowledge of HIQA standards and other relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of care to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
- Supervise and support a team of staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement individual Short Breaks Passports / Support plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Monitor clinical practices and provide guidance, training, and mentorship to staff.
- Manage risk, ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to, and address any concerns in a proactive manner.
- Liaise with families, external agencies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements:
- Be a registered nurse with active NMBI registration.
- Have a minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience, preferably in disability, residential, or respite care.
- Possess a good working knowledge of HIQA standards and other relevant legislation.
- Demonstrate leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Full Clean Driver's License and access to own vehicle is essential
