We're looking for an experienced and motivated Multi Store Convenience Retail / Fresh Foods Operations Manager to join our growing company. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a minimum of 5 years' management experience in supermarket retail or fresh food, or across multiple convenience sites, who thrives on developing and coaching high-performing teams. If you're currently a Store Manager or Fresh Food Manager looking to progress your career and take on a broader leadership role, this could be the perfect next move for you.Salary of up €65,000 DOE.OBJECTIVEEnsure delivery of store targets (both sales & profitability) through the effective management of multi store operations and employees.JOB DESCRIPTIONMANAGEMENTThe recruitment, training and development of managements team across all stores.Ensuring all stores meet budget requirements on staff timesheets, while having adequate cover available in all stores.Conduct performance appraisals, offer feedback & coaching, and implement corrective actions when necessary.Provide leadership and guidance to store managers to ensure they deal with staff performance issues in a timely and compliant mannerEnsuring adequate cover is in place when store managers are not present in stores.Accurate payment of wages.Plan, organise and set goals for the stores to ensure consistent customer service and competitiveness.Manage the performance of the store management team utilising effective performance management techniques in line with legislation.Continually communicate with daily store management teams on objectives and stores performance. The use of the buddy system.Setting goals for the stores to ensure effective customer service, store standards, compliance, and competitiveness.FINANCEManage budgets for the stores, ensuring all targets are delivered across each store.Generating and analysing financial reports and KPI's, analysing same and reporting any discrepancies to Store OwnerEnsure overheads are controlled and minimised where appropriate in each store.Ensure store sales are maximisedEnsure store margins, wages, waste and sales are managed appropriately and profitability across all stores and maximisedOPERATIONSEnsure operation runs efficiently and smoothly in each store.Ensure store standards are consistently of an extremely high standard in terms of stock management, financial, compliance, customer service and people management.Ensuring the execution of store strategy with store management teams.Plan for market changes and demands as they arise.Ensure in-store promotions are executed & maximised through new initiatives continuously.Ensure policies and procedures are implemented and managed within the storesManage cash handling in line with company cash handling procedures and act on any discrepancies that ariseManage stores merchandising ensuring appropriate "fresh food'' image is portrayed in line with company strategy.Ensuring stores and their management teams are extremely focused on a constant development of the fresh food category within each store.To ensure all customer complaints are dealt as appropriate manner and to take necessary action in implementing stores improvements following customer complaintsSTOCK MANAGEMENTEnsure effective stock control procedures and systems are in place to minimise stock loss in each store through following compliance.Preparation for and management of stores stock takesEnsure effective food management and waste systems are implemented, managed and updated appropriately in each store.Identify areas of stock leakage and ensure effective systems are in place to minimise stock loss (e.g. through pilferage, wastage, damages)Ensure effective stock rotation and stock monitoring systems are in place and adhered to in each storeOver seeing goods inwards process has been followed in each store.Ensuring strong relationships with supplier representatives, and maximising of stock offers and sales growth.Strategically work with store reps to create synergies across all stores.Implementation and overseeing on promotional, tactical, keys commercial days, bulk and cross merchandising.Overseeing Retailer Benefit Programme in each store.Developing new product offerings within stores.Constantly review and develop category management and planograms to ensure maximum growth.PERSON SPECIFICATIONThe ideal candidate will possess many of the below attributes:Proven ability in managing retail sales team including the following:Planning and organisingProblem solvingManaging performanceExcellent operational knowledge of retail environmentExcellent interpersonal relationsExcellent understanding of consumer needsProven track record in achieving agreed targetsFinancial skills with previous experience of budgets and profit and loss accountsWorking knowledge of employment, health & safety regulations, HACCP, and consumer legislationAn excellent commercial acumen with the ability to anticipate and react to market changesCommitted to continually improving standardsSelf-motivatedThe ability to work in a pressurised environmentComputer skillsJob Type: Full-timePay: €42,000.00-€65,000.00 per yearBenefits:Employee discountFlexitimeFood allowanceSick payWellness programWork Location: In person
