Responsibilities
* Staff control and management: overseeing the performance of staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and addressing any disciplinary issues that may arise.
* Team work for infrastructure planning and maintenance: collaborating with colleagues to plan, implement, and maintain infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and public buildings.
* Regulatory duties: enforcing laws and regulations related to infrastructure development, ensuring that all projects meet the necessary standards and guidelines.
* Contract preparation: preparing and managing contracts for infrastructure projects, including procurement, tendering, and contract administration.
* Customer complaint resolution: responding to customer complaints in a timely and professional manner, resolving issues through negotiation or mediation where possible.
* Construction supervision: overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standard.
* Workforce management: managing the workforce, including recruitment, training, and performance management, to ensure that the team has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality results.
* Budget preparation: preparing and managing budgets for infrastructure projects, including forecasting, planning, and reporting.
* Training: identifying training needs, developing and delivering training programs, and evaluating their effectiveness.
* Health and safety: promoting a culture of health and safety throughout the organization, identifying risks, and implementing measures to mitigate them.
* Compliance with legislation and regulations: ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to infrastructure development, employment, and health and safety.
* Stakeholder response: engaging with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and other external parties, to understand their needs and expectations and to respond to their queries and concerns.
