To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.This is an exciting opportunity to join our small team of clinicians providing CAMH services to care experienced young people across the North Highland region.Applicants should be qualified, experienced Clinical Psychologists, with suitable experience working with complex presentations; developing complex formulation; providing consultation to professional networks; working with the systems and services around the referred person to promote their wellbeing indirectly; as well as experience of the delivery of therapeutic interventions focussed on recovery from trauma. Experience of working with CEYP and/or young people who have experienced significant adversity will be particularly valuable.The wider CAMH service in north NHS Highland is a specialist multi-disciplinary team based in Inverness, but providing clinics across a large rural geography. Based within the CEYP team, this is a post commissioned by the Highland Council, to promote the psychological wellbeing of young people who are care experienced and to maintain them in placements within the Highland area. The post is varied and includes direct clinical work with children, young people and their carers and also a significant amount of indirect clinical work offering consultation, training and support to residential teams, foster carers and professional networks. The team work within a trauma informed and relationally focussed framework, and hold central to their practice an aim to meet The Promise and support others to do so.The Highlands are a playground for those loving the outdoors.
