Senior Finance Manager / Financial ControllerFull-time, permanentSouth-East commuter region (within commuting distance of South Dublin)The OpportunityA well-established Irish SME is appointing a Senior Finance Manager / Financial Controller to take full ownership of finance across a multi-million euro operation with multi-jurisdiction trading. This is a broad, hands-on role: you'll lead a small team, tighten controls, and provide clear commercial insight to the leadership team.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn monthly management accounts, KPIs, variance analysis and commentary for leadership.Deliver accurate multi-entity / multi-jurisdiction reporting (e.g., Ireland + UK/Europe), including consolidations where required.Lead budgeting, forecasting, and rolling cashflow planning (short and medium term).Provide practical commercial insight on margins, pricing, productivity, and project performance.Maintain discipline around project set-up, cost coding, approvals and timely close-out.Support operational teams with clear reporting on WIP / project performanceOversee tax compliance across jurisdictions: VAT/RTD/Payroll taxes as relevant, and liaise with external advisors.Ensure company policies and procedures are followed and improved as the business scales.Manage day-to-day cash visibility and longer-range cash forecasting.Oversee banking relationships, facilities, and covenant/pack reportingDrive working-capital performance: debtor days, supplier terms, retention management, and credit control rhythm.Lead, develop, and set clear standards for a small finance teamBe the escalation point for finance queries across the business.Own finance systems and reporting tools; improve month-end close efficiency and accuracy.Identify process gaps, fix them, document them, and make them stick.Requirements:Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)Strong experience in a multi-million turnover environment with multi-jurisdiction exposureProven ability to run an end-to-end finance function: reporting, cashflow, controls, compliance, audit, team leadership.Strong Excel and finance systems capability; confident producing clear board-level packs.
