Job Description
The Group Accountant will play a key role in month end reporting, consolidating accounts, and managing audit processes. Tasks will include:
1. Monthly management accounts production including variance analysis commentary
2. Assist with consolidated accounts preparation
3. Balance sheet reconciliation
4. Financial planning and analysis - assist with annual budget, forecasting, and business plan preparation
5. Manage multiple audit processes
6. Monitor and report on spending on capital projects, focusing on budgeting
7. Assist with payroll processing
8. Prepare and file statutory returns
9. Monitor costs and overheads
10. Ensure SOX compliance
11. Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, with potential to lead on these projects and implement change
12. Assist in ongoing ERP migration from Dynamics to Business Central
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A fully qualified accountant with 3+ years of experience in industry - construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries preferred
* Strong audit experience, as well as month-end experience for several entities
* Ability to post journals and perform day-to-day accounting tasks
* Ideal experience with Business Central ERP
* Full working rights and a valid driving license (based in Ireland)
