Senior Facilities Manager - Healthcare
Job Description
To undertake the operation, planned preventative maintenance, and repair of the building services within a healthcare campus.
Responsibilities
Contractor management for maintenance issues specific to SME area of responsibility.
Contractor procurement, including materials and equipment.
Contractor permitting for the area of responsibility.
Ensure compliance with JCI standards and programs.
Maintain compliance and quality standards.
Plan elemental work precisely.
Supervise craft personnel.
Support schedule enablement.
Coordinate operational training for SME areas.
Serve as SME for designated areas.
Manage change processes.
Oversee EHS responsibilities (Client & CBRE systems).
Maintain data integrity for all staff and contractors.
Control budgets and costs for fixed and variable expenses.
Track performance metrics of maintenance tasks and report to the client point of contact.
Manage technical training, including competency assessments, critical services, and scenario exercises.
Essential Education/Experience
Strong technical background, preferably in healthcare or pharma sectors.
Experience managing an IFM team in a hospital or pharma environment.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar setting.
Experience with external audits, preferably JCI accreditation.
Knowledge of asset management strategies, preferably JCI FMS.
Project management skills.
Experience managing large, integrated teams.
EHS and regulatory knowledge and experience.
Electrical National Craft Certificate or equivalent.
Degree qualifications in Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical, Operational, or Process Engineering.
Good knowledge of building maintenance, including mechanical assets.
Familiarity with CAFM and ERP systems (e.g., PEMAC, SAP, INFOR).
Desirable Education/Experience
IOSH Accreditation/Experience.
Lean Six Sigma exposure.
Experience with engineering change procedures and processes.
Experience with system handovers and acceptance procedures.
Interpersonal Skills
